We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency medicine and critical care, demonstrating expertise in patient assessment and acute care management. This role requires a compassionate individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and is committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Duties

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency department.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient needs based on severity of conditions.
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
• Utilize EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient patient record management.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.

Experience
Candidates should have experience in the following areas:

• Emergency room experience, including trauma medicine and acute care.
• Critical care experience with familiarity in ICU settings.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, patient assessment, and basic life support techniques.
• Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
• Experience with various medical procedures such as suturing, catheterization, phlebotomy, and airway management.
• Familiarity with specialized treatments including dialysis, pain management, and infectious disease care.
• Previous work in a Level I or Level II trauma center is preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
