Job Responsibilities

As an ARRT Registered Radiation Therapist, you will play a vital role in our Radiation Therapy Program by delivering radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. This position involves interaction with patients, their families, and the clinical team, requiring strong interpersonal communication skills and empathy.

  • Provide reassurance: Help ease patients' fears about radiation therapy
  • Ensure treatment accuracy: Set up patients for accurate radiation delivery and provide clear instructions on what they can do to help
  • Maintain equipment: Perform daily warm-up procedures on treatment machines and maintain logs, reporting any issues promptly
  • Prepare for treatment simulation: Properly position patients and ensure the correct setup of immobilization devices, providing clear communication to the patient throughout

Work Schedule

Location: Lewiston, ID (Reliable commute or willingness to relocate with provided relocation assistance)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Flexibility required based on business needs)

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment: Evaluate and assess patients’ respiratory conditions to determine appropriate therapy.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Conduct tests to assess respiratory function and identify issues.
  • Treatment Administration: Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other treatments.
  • Patient Education: Instruct patients on respiratory equipment usage, breathing techniques, and disease management.
  • Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our team, where you’ll be instrumental in providing high-quality patient and resident care. This role offers flexibility with 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, covering day, evening, and night tours. As an RN, you’ll leverage your broad clinical knowledge to assess, implement, and monitor health interventions, assist in managing both acute and chronic conditions, and support patients and their families through every stage of care.


Schedule Options

    • Day: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
    • Evening: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am
    • Night: 11:30 pm - 8:00 am
  • 12-Hour Shifts:

    • Night: 7:30 pm - 8:00 am

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Assessment: Evaluate patient/resident healthcare needs, updating care plans as needed.
  • Responsive Action: Recognize and respond to significant changes in patient/resident health.
  • Care Plan Implementation: Perform and assign nursing tasks, maintaining interdisciplinary goals.
  • Data Management: Document patient data in electronic medical records per policy.
  • Holistic Care: Support patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
  • Prioritization: Organize and complete tasks effectively within your shift.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and compassionate communication with patients/residents and their families.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Critical Care Nursing experience within the last 5 years.
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - required for SICU, IMCU, CCU, ICU, Stepdown, and Emergency Room.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - required.

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
  • Certification: BLS and Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA or NCCT)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Surgical Technologist or demonstrated competency in two or more specialty areas

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in Specialty Care: Experience and competency as a first scrub in cardiovascular surgery or other assigned specialties.
  • Team-Oriented: Act as a resource and role model, contributing positively to the team’s knowledge and expertise.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure proper functioning of equipment and maintain adherence to aseptic principles.
