Position Summary
Provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Essential Functions:
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
- Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.
Requirements:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Education/ Certification
- Current ARRT or RCIS certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Accepting candidates - Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) CI, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Certified Paramedic (CST) and Certified Surgical
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position required.
- Associate's degree from Radiological Technology program required. Education requirements may be waived in exchange with equivalent years of Cath Lab Tech experience

How You'll Contribute

- BLS and ACLS certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
